Christian woman sentenced to death for her faith in Sudan

A Sudanese judge on Thursday sentenced a Christian woman to hang for apostasy, in a ruling which Britain denounced as "barbaric". Born to a Muslim father, the woman was convicted under the Islamic sharia law that has been in force in Sudan since 1983 and outlaws conversions on pain of death. Meriam Yahia Ibrahim Ishag, 27, is married to a Christian and eight months pregnant, human rights activists say. Meriam Yehya Ibrahim, 27, on her wedding day "We gave you three days to recant but you insist on not returning to Islam. I sentence you to be hanged," Judge Abbas Mohammed Al-Khalifa told the woman, addressing her by her father's Muslim name, Adraf Al-Hadi Mohammed Abdullah. Khalifa also sentenced Ishag to 100 lashes for "adultery". Under Sudan's interpretation of sharia, a Muslim woman cannot marry a non-Muslim man and any such relationship is regarded as adulterous. This Man is Not My Son, I Don't Have any Adopted Son ––Buhari

The extent some people go just to rubbish the reputation of respected men is quite alarming. Anyway, former Head of State, General Muhammadu Buhari has reacted to the news that his adopted son who is identified as one Muhammed Buhari was involved in a N20m fraud and that he has been arrested by the EFCC. Disclaimer: Adopted Son of General Buhari Arrested For N20m Scam Gen Muhammadu Buhari (Rtd) wishes to state categorically that he does not have any adopted son called "Muhammadu Buhari" and had no need to adopt a son at any time having been blessed with choice children, both male and female. Muhammadu Buhari and his family do not know the said "Muhammed Buhari" who is alleged to be involved in a N20m scam and is being held by EFCC. It is regrettable to note that after several unsuccessful attempts to smear the hard earned respect, popularity, dignity, and enviable image of Muhammadu Buhari, mischief makers have resorted to a laughable tactic of lin...

The Five Toughest Questions That Women Ask Men And The Answers You Need...

The questions are: 1. What are you thinking about? 2. Do you love me? 3. Do I look fat? 4. Do you think she is prettier than me? 5. What would you do if I died? What makes these questions so difficult is that every one is guaranteed to explode into a major argument if the man answers incorrect (i.e. tells the truth). Therefore, as a public service, each question is analyzed below, along with possible responses. 1. What are you thinking about? The proper answer to this, of course, is "I'm sorry if I've been pensive, dear. I was just reflecting on what a warm, wonderful, thoughtful, caring, intelligent woman you are and how lucky I am to have met you." Inappropriate answers: a. Baseball b. Football c. How fat you are. d. How much prettier she is than you. e. How I would spend the insurance money if you died. (Perhaps the best response to this question was offered by Al Bundy, who once told Peg, "If I wanted you to know what I was t...

Civilians Kill 200 Boko Haram Terrorists In Borno attack yesterday

Article written by Dr. Peregrino Brimah for ENDS.ng The rise of the civilians against terror took the Boko Haram saga to a new turn in the early hours of Tuesday morning when citizens of Rann, headquarters of Kala-Balge local government area, Borno northeast, who had fore-knowledge of an impending Boko Haram attack, decided not to remain sitting ducks but prepared for battle. According to reports we received from Civilian sources in Borno, over 400 Boko Haram terrorists stormed Rann and neighboring villages in the early hours of Tuesday, with their usual convoy of hilux trucks, motorcycles and APC (Armored Personnel Carriers) only to meet villagers ready for them this time. The civilian villagers pounced on the terrorists with mere rocks, bows and arrows, local Dane guns, swords and "charms," but as we have earlier reported, Boko Haram are more frightened of Civilian-JTF than they are of the Nigerian army, and run from the civilians even if they - the civilians ...

Pires: Arsenal need FA Cup win

Arsenal legend Robert Pires believes it is 'psychologically important' for the side to claim the FA Cup title this season. The Gunners face Hull City in the final on Saturday having not won a piece of silverware in nine years, with their last trophy success coming in this competition, back in 2005. And Pires, who won three FA Cup crowns under manager Arsene Wenger before departing north London in 2006, said: "For the fans, for the club, for the board, for Arsene Wenger, the final is very important," said the 40-year-old Frenchman. "It is very important psychologically because every player knows it is very hard to win any title, especially after a long time. "Everybody at Arsenal knows big pressure is on the shoulders of the players because we need to win, to concentrate and focus. "But they must keep focused on the final, it is not an easy game. "We won 3-0 (at Hull) a few weeks ago, but the Premier League and FA Cup fi...
