THE CHILD


What goes through your mind
when you see a young bright child
in the morning....(looking) sad!!
His face speaks of a bad night?
Or it's just the way he has grown to be?  

I see a young chap sent on an errand early in the morning,
and he looks gloomy;
like he is not sure what is happening next,
like the $ (dollar) rise and the # (naira) fall...rose and fell on him.

And my heart pump with questions,
what kinda future is there for a child with this mentality?
where has he gone wrong?
what kinda situation is the parent in?
what kinda life awaits him?

Then, I purpose in my heart.........

It's a beautiful day in the State of Osun, stepping out of my house was graceful and I was particularly excited to go out after a long time isolating myself from this whole pandemic.  On my way out, I noticed some changes within my street (the good, the bad, the ugly). Some SMEs started up during this pandemic and they are doing pretty well, buildings were been completed and obviously those that are ready to cause trouble at any given opportunity. (Well, that is not my focus for today)  Did I mention I was going for a meeting? Pardon me, I was actually scheduled to meet a young brilliant CEO of a fast rising software company.
