M.A.G.A 0.1
Blessed people!! Thank you for joining me today. So, we continue from where we stopped last time; (In case you missed it, you can quickly read it here M. A. G. A. 0.01 ) When David said
"Therefore he said that he would destroy them, had not Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach, to turn away his wrath, lest he should destroy them." PS 106:23
And he was purposing to put an end to them if Moses, his special servant, had not gone up before him, between him and his people, turning back his wrath, to keep them from destruction. BBE
Thanks for holding your thoughts (I.e. if you truly held it 😀 ). A little gist on the verse above,
The old testament saints actually believes that God does good and bad. They believe that Satan is a tool and faithful servant of God to afflict people till the people changes unto God. They also believes that Satan is the left hand of God. He is God's police to correct any erring person.
To the Jews, Satan wasn't a bad person but someone following God's eternal will. (Smile) There are over 1000 evidences that GOD is both good and bad in the old testament. The best thing is to study, understand and know GOD through Jesus.
Without this, we will remain confused; Satan and God will look like partners and a company with the same goal and objectives.
Without Jesus, we didn't and can't know God
1 John 5: 20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
The Son of God came HE HAS GIVEN us UNDERSTANDING that we may know God. Jesus supplied the "gift of understanding" to us. This is our only access to know God in His true nature. Jesus is the WORD of God
Therefore, He is the correct version of the old testament books, because the old testament books were all trying to write about Him
During Jesus' Time, he made sure that he corrected the wrong saying in the old Testament. So God is not wicked nor does He destroys. The revelation of the father is in the son! Glory!!
Clear?
To balance this, some of the incident that happened in the old testament where direct consequences of men's actions or the divine responses of Angels from a spiritual man (e.g. a Prophet calling out wild beast to devour teenagers because they "abused" him) and they are not God doing evil. Are you still with me?
A trip back to our main discussion; So, in a way, Moses acted as a bridge and pleaded the cause of his people from been punished by the consequences of their sins. He made himself available and useful. Let us look at it from here, what if the proposed danger comes? Moses might be saved because "he is the one that always hears from God"
But he never waited to see whether he will be separated from danger or not, he stood up and did a good job. Look at this scripture
Ezekiel 22:30
And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.
I will not do exegesis on this. Do you know that God is always looking for men to stand in gap for the family, church, nation? But the situation is reversed, Men are busy looking for God to act while God is saying "I have placed you there" act me out. Every believer is a God on earth, you are expected to act God's will on earth.
God respect order, he created them and he honours it. An accident that is about to happen, God knows, He is looking at the nearest sensitive man to stop the accident; once none is found, the accident happens. A man is needed to take away that child in our opening illustration or else, the child will be knocked down by a car. If the child disappear from the road through God not wanting the young chap to die, means God defile HIS own order.
There is healing available, a believer is needed to help another receives his/her healing. You are someone's door to their next success, don't close that door! Render that help! Show that love & compassion.
I said all that since last week to say this, God need you to be a blessing to others. What He has given you the ability to do, He will not do it. My Mentor Rev'd Kcwilliams said "My inaction makes God to be helpless". Therefore, when I act, God has acted.
I end with this today, make yourself available to render help to your fellow man because it will be illegal for God to be physically present to do so!
1 Corinthians 3:21-23
[21]Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours;
[22]Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours;
[23]And ye are Christ's; and Christ is God's.
Till we meet again, keep winning!!

I hope we can clear the subject "Wrath of God" one of this day.
