Light Not Ashes



Hello there, thank you for joining me this week. Can you journey with me as we expound this thoughts today? Yes, you are here already. Let's roll. 

What do you see after a fire(wood) has burned out? Ashes! Has it cross your mind that the fire that is so bright now will in few minutes turn to ashes? Have you wondered how the glowing light that burns when touched became so cold when turned to ashes? 

Scriptures says that 
First this: God created the Heavens and Earth­—all you see, all you don't see. Earth was a soup of nothingness, a bottomless emptiness, an inky blackness. God's Spirit brooded like a bird above the watery abyss. God spoke: "Light!" And light appeared.
Gen 1:1-3

Did you see the illustration/parable about the creation of the world? Look at what was used to describe to state of the world then... a soup of nothingness, bottomless emptiness, inky blackness, oh, these are a grave state! 

But look at what happened after light came, all those states of emptiness disappeared. Did you really got what was not said their? It was the nothingness, bottomless emptiness, blackness that left when light came. They could not fight with the light, they had to Leave. 

The light can be in form of knowledge, life or technological Advancement. The greatest of it is the light of life in Christ Jesus. 

When there is a new technology introduced to a certain place, it makes life easier, things to be done faster and more efficient. Likewise when you receive the knowledge of the son of God, that He came to give His life so, you can live, if you receive this knowledge and believe if; you have life (light). 

See this;
John 8:12
[12]Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. 

We see from before this verse that Jesus was teaching, he was interrupted with the woman caught in Adultery, (like my Mentor Rev'd Kcwilliams do say... Where is the man that committed the crime with her?) but Jesus has handled the matter quite well and he was back to his teaching and he said ;

I am the fountain of light, where all light and spiritual understanding proceeds from. Without me, what you actually have is darkness and death. 

If you follow me, believe on my name, you will be saved from this darkness, Ignorance, infidelity and sin. You will be my own and there will be a spirit in you that will witness to you that this is true! You shall have the light of life which brings life and support life. Glory to God 

Matthew 5:14-16
[14]Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. 
[15]Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. 
[16]Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. 

Now, as God uses the sun to illuminates the world, God uses us His children to illuminates the hearts of men. So, the instruction is to shine. Let that light show forth before me, illuminate everyone's minds, let darkness disappear by the reason of your light and God will be glorified! Amen. 


YOU ARE NOT THE ASHES, YOU ARE THE SHINING LIGHT. You are to illuminates everywhere with God's glory. He gave you this light, so Shine! Don't allow the struggle of life kill your flames, don't allow condemnation override your joy & passion for the Lord. 

Ashes is an indication that something was once lighted up here, don't be an ashes, be the light that you are. Hold on fervently to the source of your faith / light. He is always there to hold on to you too. 

2 Corinthians 4:6
[6]For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

Referencing where  God said, Let THERE BE LIGHT; and there was light. Therefore, he caused the light to shine out of darkness. He has given our hearts the glorious light of the Gospel, as he has given the world the glorious light of the sun. 

As sure, therefore, as God is the author of the light  and the creator of the universe, so, He is also the author of the Gospel (which brings light to men), He gave us, and enabled us to give to others, the light of the knowledge of God through Christ. It is in and through Jesus that we can receive this light, it is in and through Him we shine it! 

Let all that you do, Your passion, zeal, profession shine. Don't be  a light and hide under! I call you blessed!

The Little Drops

It's a beautiful day in the State of Osun, stepping out of my house was graceful and I was particularly excited to go out after a long time isolating myself from this whole pandemic.  On my way out, I noticed some changes within my street (the good, the bad, the ugly). Some SMEs started up during this pandemic and they are doing pretty well, buildings were been completed and obviously those that are ready to cause trouble at any given opportunity.
