PUSH CONFERENCE 2016. 3D Youths

Some mornings, you may feel that there’s something deeper you could be a part of. You feel the pull towards something but you can’t exactly pin it down—it eludes you and frustrates you. You might have heard stories from writers, musicians or your pastors who have felt their calling their entire lives; the Mozarts of the world who have pursued their passions from the moment they were out of the womb. Deep down you wish you had this “knowing” to pull you forward. Frankly, you do: all it takes is a little digging to uncover the truth. Think of uncovering your passion like the work of a master sculptor, slowly chipping away the stone to reveal the masterpiece underneath. Your life’s purpose is this masterpiece, simply lurking beneath the surface waiting to be released. You want to know more? You can't avoid to miss this conference. This is a power-packed program just for you....welcoming you to #PushConference2016. Packaged by Christ Life Church , divisional youth ministry, Osu...

Looking Forward to Heaven

Image
Scripture: “And now the prize awaits me—the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on the day of his return. And the prize is not just for me but for all who eagerly look forward to his appearing.” (2 Timothy 4:8) In this verse, it seems like Jesus, the Righteous Judge, has a special "crown" for those who are eager for His return. Do you think y ou'll get this crown? Are you eager for His return? W hy or why not?

THE CHILD

What goes through your mind when you see a young bright child in the morning....(looking) sad!! His face speaks of a bad night? Or it's just the way he has grown to be?   I see a young chap sent on an errand early in the morning, and he looks gloomy; like he is not sure what is happening next, like the $ (dollar) rise and the # (naira) fall...rose and fell on him. And my heart pump with questions, what kinda future is there for a child with this mentality? where has he gone wrong? what kinda situation is the parent in? what kinda life awaits him? Then, I purpose in my heart......... St.Skity  #GlowWithZoe

A Vital Necessity

For the believer, right thinking is a vital necessity. A vital necessity is something that is so important one simply cannot live without it- like a heartbeat is vital, or blood pressure is vital. These are things without which there is no life. The Lord impressed this truth on me years ago concerning personal fellowship with Him in prayer and the Word. I was having a terrible time disciplining myself to do these things until He showed me that they are a vital necessity. Just as my physical life is dependent upon my vital signs, so my spiritual life is dependent upon spending regular, quality time with God. Once I learned that fellowship with Him is vital, I gave it priority in my life. In the same way, once I realized that right thinking is vital to victorious living, I got more serious about thinking about what I was thinking about, and choosing my thoughts carefully. #As_You_Think_So_You_Are. Chibok Girls: 200 Days Later

The nations of the world do not lack people in leadership positions. They lack genuine leadership in their leaders-Dr Myles Munroe Several thoughts ran through my mind while writing this piece; thoughts like the inability of government to protect citizens and wondering what the benefits of being a patriotic Nigerian are. I read my previous piece on the 100th day of the abduction of the Chibok Girls and I was surprised that some opinions therein, were beginning to come to fruition and it would appear that nothing had changed. A salient thought ran through my mind. At the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs October Lecture which had the Independent National Electoral Commission Chairman (Professor Attahiru Jega) as guest speaker; Nigeria's former External Affairs Minister during the General Babangida regime-Professor Bolaji Akinyemi; reeled out a number of "takeaways" which sought to hammer into our re-collective skulls, several vents that have occu...
