Straight Talk with PB

Growing up in an hostile environment could really be ugly. Government policies that is not looking at the masses, living each day as it comes, and don't forget the hostility of the environment where everyone is suspecting one another, the chances of breaking forth in this kind of environment is very low "without doing bad things"  But hey! The above are just facts and not necessarily the truth. And you know what they say about facts? Facts are not equal to the truth!  We live in a society that plays down on good conducts but praises bad deeds, corruption on all levels, fraud is celebrated even on national TVs and those keeping to rules are on the receiving end of the bad things, and you ask yourself; Is it worth it to be good? I tell you been good is good, don't loose that! Will your kids/family be proud of what you are doing right? (Not necessarily the results you are getting but the process, the effects of your decisions)  Never allow the situations you live in to d...

Esau and Jacob - Revd Kcwilliams GraceMan

"A Shadow of the SCANDALOUS GRACE OF GOD" Definition:  Scandalous - causing general public outrage by a perceived offense against morality or law. Offensive to propriety or morality. Synonyms: disgraceful, shocking, outrageous, monstrous, criminal, wicked, sinful, shameful, atrocious, appalling, dreadful, deplorable, reprehensible, inexcusable, intolerable, insupportable, unforgivable, unconscionable, unpardonable;  Gospel of Grace versus Gospel of morality! Gospel of God's Grace is very offensive to man. Many believers are even ashamed to declare BEING SAVED BY GRACE ALONE. Because they consider it shameful, shocking and outrageous. Nothing less than scandalous describes man's perception of the Grace of God. "For I am NOT ashamed of the Gospel of Christ. For it is the power of God unto Salvation unto everyone who believes" Romans 1:16. Who is ashamed of the Gospel of Morality? All religions on earth preach morality, even the atheists who don't believe i...

Light Not Ashes

Image
Hello there, thank you for joining me this week. Can you journey with me as we expound this thoughts today? Yes, you are here already. Let's roll.  What do you see after a fire(wood) has burned out? Ashes! Has it cross your mind that the fire that is so bright now will in few minutes turn to ashes? Have you wondered how the glowing light that burns when touched became so cold when turned to ashes?  Scriptures says that  First this: God created the Heavens and Earth—all you see, all you don't see. Earth was a soup of nothingness, a bottomless emptiness, an inky blackness. God's Spirit brooded like a bird above the watery abyss. God spoke: "Light!" And light appeared. Gen 1:1-3 Did you see the illustration/parable about the creation of the world? Look at what was used to describe to state of the world then... a soup of nothingness, bottomless emptiness, inky blackness, oh, these are a grave state!  But look at what happened after light came, all those states of emp...

Frequently Asked Questions On Salvation 2

Image
.... From last week, Eternal life is the promise of spending forever in heaven with God. God promises, “Believe and you will have eternal life.” For a Christian to lose salvation, eternal life would have to be redefined. The Christian is promised to live forever. Does eternal not mean “eternal”? A Christian is marked by God and sealed by the Spirit. “You also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory”  (Ephesians 1:13–14) At the moment of faith, the new Christian is marked and sealed with the Spirit, who was promised to act as a deposit to guarantee the heavenly inheritance. The end result is that God’s glory is praised. For a Christian to lose salvation, God would have to erase the mark, withdraw the Spirit, cancel the deposit,...

Frequently Asked Questions on Salvation

Image
Hello there. This week, I will love to answer some frequently asked questions about salvation, It is important that a believer know what he/She believes in exactly and can "defend" by explaining it someone else.  Apostle Peter said in 2 Peter 3:18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen Apostle Peter took his time to still remind/tell the saints to grow in grace, i.e. The knowledge of our Lord as saviour! You can't afford not to grow, a Christian spiritual growth is by growing in grace. Grace does not focus on man but on what God-as-seen-in-Christ has done. And again, it is the knowledge of God as the saviour,  not as the angry one, nor the one that condemns.  Therefore, God himself is perfectly explained in Christ. As you see Christ, that's how God is!  Disclaimer: All answers are what my Mentor & Pastor (Rev'd Kcwilliams GraceMan) gave either in a service or in a random discuss...

Hello there, thanks for joining me here again. It was a silent February & March. (Especially a deadly March, #COVID-19; but know this, we are rising above this stronger and we will be the better one out of this pandemic. I'm so sorry for silent February, my apologies! I will be ending this series today - My Acts God's Act. It has been explicit I'm sure you can testify to that.  In my last blog, we saw how it is good to communicate goodness, kindness to others. Like I said, "You will be surprised how far your words of encouragement can go, you will not only be helping others but you will be helping yourself to have a fulfilled life." Even in this time of l self isolation, reach out to others, it is noble. If you missed that blog, punch  M.A.G.A 0.3  to read.  My Acts God's Act 4 will be crowning this series and we will be looking at a subject matter that is the most important to a believer. Been there to help is good, giving to others either in cash or kind...

"Guard well within yourself that treasure, kindness. Know how to give without hesitation, how to lose without regret, how to acquire without meanness." -George Sand Hello there, thanks for joining me again this week. I hope you have learnt one or two things from this series? My Act God's Act series is almost drawing close but my Joy is that the subjects discussed in here becomes a life to us and not just a reading. If you missed last series, click  M.A.G.A 0.2  to read.  There is a popular saying around here that " When you are on fire (literally) and your child is also on fire, you will put out your fire first before that of your child. " Now, my revised version got this added to it "... Thank God you waited to put out the fire on your child" (Smiles). There is another saying that " you can't give what you don't have" See this; There was a poor old lady washing her face near a stream in a village. Suddenly, (some says it's a sudd...
